A lifer for me for Peninsular Malaysia birds. John Bakar was instrumental to organize this trip after the Fraser Bird race. Along the trip was Kleen (Precision Optic Asia Pte Ltd - Singapore) who is the main guy to sponsor us the vehicle and also a new friend Shaun (Teh Soon Huat, from Lee Photo Sdn Bhd.) with him, we could never find this place.
Its been awhile getting back to Fraser Hill, this time representing Borneo Bird club for the bird race. John Bakar and Kenneth Tizon was my team mates this year race. We did not win but came out top 10 among 26 teams. This year winner was the Singapore team with a 86 bird counts.
The female Grey-chinned Minivet gives away its identification due the grey colour covering its chin area or face. While the other females minivets does not have this characteristic.Considered to be endemic sub-species. Prefer Primary and Secondary to upper montane forest from 650m to 2400m.
